Once There Was A Snowman

On Monday it snowed for the first time since we've been here in Ukraine.  We were so excited!  We were actually getting nervous that it wouldn't snow while we were here.  The snow is beautiful here!  Not to mention Ukrainians know how to do snow.  They have these scraper things kind of like shovels that they hit at the ice with.  Which basically means there is no ice.  It's great!

We got to school yesterday and there was fresh snow from the night before.  So what did we do?  We built a snowman!  We got lots of funny looks and many people yelling at us in English.  It was great!

Please meet Victor!

After we finished Victor we didn't want to leave the Santa hat outside so naturally we turned Victor into a cat.  Cats are our school mascot you know.  Center school cats!  So here is Victor the cat.  Isn't he cute?

Victor by the end of the day was a little lopsided and this morning when we got back to school he was basically a goner.  But he was still fun to make!

Oh we shouldn't leave out that yesterday I went to one of the fanciest malls I have been to in my entire life!  Ocean Plaza.  It's a new mall that just opened in Kyiv.  Here are a few pictures from this crazy nice mall.
